Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, has endorsed Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, for the position of First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing his extensive experience in the party’s national leadership.
Dr Agyemang said Nana B’s years of service at the national level had equipped him with the experience, courage and leadership skills required to help steer the party at a critical period.
Addressing supporters during Nana B’s campaign, the Abuakwa South MP described him as the most experienced among the party’s national officers and urged delegates to back his candidature in the October 3 election.
“As constituency officer, the message is clear: Chairman Nana B is the most experienced national officer. He has passed through the mill,” he said.
Dr Agyemang expressed confidence that delegates in the Abuakwa South Constituency would vote for Nana B when the delegates’ conference is held.
“I know on election day you will not disappoint by electing Nana B as the first vice chairman, wherever he will be placed on the ballot,” he said.
He argued that the NPP needed an experienced and assertive leader capable of providing direction and strengthening the party as it prepares for its next phase.
Dr Agyemang said Nana B’s supporters considered him a leader with the conviction and vision to take on the responsibilities associated with the First Vice Chairman position.
“We are voting for Nana B as the next National 1st Vice Chairman because he is the most experienced, courageous, bold, and outspoken leader—someone with the vision, conviction, and strength to serve with distinction,” he said.
The NPP national officers’ election is scheduled for October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, where delegates will elect officers to lead the party.
