Arsenal are edging closer to parting ways with Belgian forward Leandro Trossard, who is reportedly on the verge of agreeing personal terms with Turkish giants Besiktas ahead of a permanent transfer.
According to reports from The Athletic, negotiations between Arsenal and Besiktas have reached an advanced stage, with the two clubs close to finalising an agreement for the 31-year-old attacker.
The Turkish club is expected to pay €18 million upfront for Trossard, while a further €2 million could be added through performance-related bonuses.
Trossard is set to sign a three-year contract with Besiktas, with the deal including an option to extend his stay by an additional year. He is also expected to earn an annual salary of approximately €7 million.
The Belgian international’s departure would mark the end of his spell at Arsenal as manager Mikel Arteta continues to reshape his squad ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have already identified a potential replacement, with Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers emerging as one of the club’s key attacking targets.
Arsenal are expected to intensify efforts to bolster their attacking options as they prepare to defend their Premier League title and compete in multiple competitions during the upcoming campaign.
