The incumbent Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Manso-Adubia Constituency, Mrs. Ruth Osei, has called on fellow aspirants in the upcoming constituency elections to conduct peaceful, respectful and issue-based campaigns to preserve party unity.
Speaking after drawing the first position on the ballot paper, Mrs. Osei stressed that internal elections should strengthen, rather than divide, the party as it prepares for the 2028 general elections.
She urged contestants to focus on their achievements, policies and vision instead of resorting to insults, personal attacks and divisive rhetoric.
“I am against insults and insinuations because they create division within the party. Let us campaign with decorum, respect one another and ensure that after the elections we can all come together to work for the victory of the NPP in 2028,” she stated.
Mrs. Osei also appealed to delegates to renew her mandate, saying another term would enable her to complete ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering women and strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.
According to her, although her tenure has seen significant progress in advancing the women’s wing, several development programmes remain unfinished and require continuity to achieve their intended impact.
She noted that building a vibrant and well-organised women’s wing would enhance the party’s mobilisation efforts and improve its electoral prospects ahead of the next general elections.
Expressing confidence in the electoral process, Mrs. Osei said she expected the constituency elections to be peaceful, transparent and credible, while urging delegates and party faithful to remain united and committed to the party’s long-term success.
