Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, has moved swiftly to counter damaging claims circulating online that he accepted a Lexus vehicle as a gift, allegedly violating a directive from former President John Dramani Mahama.
Through his legal representatives at Korsah & Ackah @ Law, the Minister has condemned the allegations as false and defamatory. In a strongly worded cease-and-desist letter dated May 20, 2025, the law firm addressed P.K. Sarpong—known online as Whispers—demanding the immediate removal of the contentious post from social media.
The letter, signed by Israel Ackah Esq., asserts that the claims lack any factual basis and appear aimed at undermining the Minister’s reputation. “The statement is categorically false and has been made with the apparent intent to tarnish Hon. Samuel Nartey George’s hard-earned standing,” it reads.
The legal team has called for a public retraction and an unreserved apology within seven days, warning that failure to comply will prompt formal defamation proceedings without further notice.
This move highlights the growing challenge public officials face from misinformation on digital platforms, and underscores the legal remedies available to protect their integrity against unfounded attacks.
