The election was supervised by Ms Ama Quansah, Director of the Gomoa Central Electoral Commission, while Ms Ophelia Hayford Mensah and Mrs Sarah Afful conducted the polls.
The exercise was described as peaceful and orderly, with both successful and unsuccessful candidates accepting the results.
Speaking after the declaration of the results, Ms Mensah commended the candidates and delegates for their conduct and urged the newly elected executives to unite all factions within the party to work towards the NPP’s return to power in 2028.
She also praised the Electoral Commission and the police for helping to ensure a peaceful election.
Mr Mintah, the Chairman-elect, said unity would be the new executive’s major priority as the party sought to reclaim the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat and contribute to the NPP’s presidential victory in 2028.
He disclosed that the new executives would soon embark on a unity tour across the constituency to engage candidates who lost the elections and bring them on board.
According to him, the move would help heal internal divisions and build a stronger party structure capable of mobilising support for the NPP ahead of the next general elections.
