In a bid to shape the discourse on parliamentary proceedings, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched a new initiative, *House NPP*, aimed at providing fact-checks and alternative viewpoints on key government policies.
The platform was introduced shortly after Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson presented his maiden budget to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The initiative seeks to challenge and scrutinize claims made by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, particularly in the financial sector.
Former Presidential Staffer under the Akufo-Addo administration, Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe, officially announced *House NPP* on social media, unveiling a series of news cards designed to fact-check the Finance Minister’s statements. The platform also aims to inform Ghanaians about the economic implications of government policies and offer counterarguments from the opposition.
With *House NPP*, the NPP is intensifying its strategy to engage the public, ensure transparency in governance, and present alternative policies as the nation moves toward the next election cycle.
