Sam George, Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, has come forward to dispel rumors linking him to a luxury vehicle seen in a viral video displaying the custom license plate “DJATA.”
The MP clarified that the car does not belong to him, countering speculation that has been circulating online.
In a statement shared on social media and reported by MyNewsGh, Sam George emphasized the incorrectness of the claims. “My attention has been drawn to this video and attempts to suggest the said vehicle belongs to me. The claim is FALSE!” he asserted.
He pointed out a crucial detail often overlooked: the spelling on the number plate reads “DJATA,” whereas his name is spelled “DZATA.” This difference, he insists, clearly shows the vehicle is unrelated to him.
While denying ownership of the vehicle, the MP thanked those who mistakenly thought he had purchased a new car this year, confirming that he has not made such a purchase.
Currently, Sam George says his attention remains focused on other matters, specifically awaiting a response from DSTV regarding a pending issue expected by July 21, 2025.
This clarification puts an end to circulating rumors and redirects public attention back to the MP’s ongoing work.
