The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) USA New York Chapter has marked its 33rd anniversary with renewed calls for the diaspora to play a central role in uniting and rebuilding the Party ahead of the 2028 elections.
The chapter, one of the oldest NPP diaspora branches, celebrated the milestone under the theme “33 Years of Devoted Service, Patriotism and Commitment: Reigniting the Base, Rebuilding with Our Core Values in Unity.”
Flagbearer hopeful Dr. Bryan Acheampong, in a goodwill message, commended the branch for its decades of sacrifice, stressing that the diaspora has consistently provided financial, logistical, and moral support to sustain the Party’s growth both at home and abroad.
“The diaspora has always been the lifeblood of our Party, and your sacrifices have helped sustain us. Together, we must channel this strength into reigniting our base and rebuilding the NPP into the unified force that our nation needs,” he noted.
While praising the chapter’s contributions, Dr. Acheampong used the occasion to emphasize the broader vision of rebuilding the NPP from within and restoring confidence among its grassroots members. He said unity must go beyond slogans to become the foundation for electoral success in 2028 and beyond.
Party members at the anniversary were urged to reflect on the chapter’s history of commitment while embracing the challenge of safeguarding the Party’s values of patriotism, service, and inclusivity.
“This anniversary is not just about celebrating the past; it is a charge for the future,” Dr. Acheampong stated, tying the event’s theme to his own call for Party renewal.
For the NPP-USA New York Chapter, the celebration was not only a recognition of its pioneering role in the diaspora but also a reminder of the continuing responsibility of overseas branches in shaping the fortunes of the Party.
