The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Akwatia, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, has pledged to continue the legacy of the late Ernest Kumi by ensuring that the developmental dreams he had for the constituency are realised.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd of party supporters, Asumadu noted that while Kumi’s aspirations were cut short by his untimely passing, he was determined to carry those plans forward.
“Ernest Kumi had this constituency at heart. He wanted to do great things but could not because of how short-lived his life was. I promise to ensure that everything he desired for Akwatia will be achieved by me,” he said.
Asumadu also stressed that his approach to development would not rely solely on the government’s Common Fund. Rather, he intends to leverage his own networks, resources, and innovative strategies to bring tangible projects to the constituency.
“People who know me know that I don’t just talk — I am a doer,” he assured. “I will not wait for the Common Fund before bringing development. I am resourceful and ready to transform Akwatia into a model constituency.”
With his message of continuity and commitment, the NPP candidate sought to reassure voters that Akwatia’s progress will not stall but instead build on the foundation of past leadership.
